Writing Every Day for Thirty-One Days
Encountering Abba’s Heart
Day 2: Family
Abba told little girl she was a part of his family. She thought this sounded amazing. “Are you my uncle, or my brother? Or are you my dad?” she asked with anticipation and hope.
She’d always wanted a family. She’d heard the stories from the kids at school about their families.
She never really had a family. Technically she had a family, but she never really felt like she belonged to anyone. Her mom and dad left when she was itty bitty and her grandma took care of her for a couple of years but then she couldn’t take care of her anymore.
Little girl went from one house to another and she always wanted a family to call her own, even before she could talk. When Abba told her she was a part of a family, she could hardly believe her ears. She turned to him with bright eyes, filled with excitement and a little bit of fear. She wanted this to be true more than anything she’d ever wanted. She looked up at Abba, waiting expectantly, and listened to all he had to say.
The story continues into the journey of Abba’s heart.
